Message from Destiny Series

These series of unrelated collages are based on previous works. The idea of making collages was purely accidental but it provides an avenue of expression for some pieces that I didn’t feel strongly about when initially created.

Message from Destiny (2019)

Sumi ink and fountain pen ink on canvas paper (collage).

21 x 27 inches (framed)

Available for purchase. Please contact the artist here or by direct message on Instagram.

پیامی از سرنوشت

A single line from a Hafez poem urges the reader to fall in love because “… the world will someday end and we don’t know what awaits us.”

عاشق شو ار نه روزی کار جهان سر آید

ناخوانده نقش مقصود از کارگاه هستی

This piece is a collage made from cut up strips of a whimsical rendition of the poem.

‎⁨الرجال أربعة⁩

This was a piece commissioned by a good friend and depicts an old Arabic saying that translates to:

He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not, is a fool. Shun him.

He who knows not, and knows that he knows not is simple. Teach him.

He who knows, and knows not that he knows, is asleep. Wake him.

He who knows, and knows that he knows is wise. Follow him.
